Dietsche, Frances M. (1881? - 20 JUL 1961)

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Fred Dietsche, 80, who died Thursday at St. Michael’s Hospital, Stevens Point, were held Monday morning at 9 o’clock at St. Stevens Catholic Church, Stevens Point.  The Rt. Rev. Msgr. John R. McGinley sang the mass of requiem, after which interment was made in St. Stephen’s Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were Leo Baumann, Norman Brecke, Walter Pagel, Pat Elliot, Philip Kostka and Al Slowinski.

 

Frances Mathilda Rocheleau was born in Whitney, Texas, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Felix Rocheleau.

 

She and Frederick Dietsche were united in marriage in Loyal (Clark Co.), Wis., on Sept. 4, 1902.  The couple farmed in Clark County until 1919, when they moved to Abbotsford, where Mr. Dietsche was employed by the Soo Line Railroad until his retirement.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Dietsche sold their home here and on Jan. 18 moved to Stevens Point where they made their home with their son, Vincent, and daughter, Florence.

 

Mrs. Dietsche had been in ill health the past 18 months and was hospitalized the past three weeks, when death occurred at 3:10 p.m. July 20, 1961.

 

While in Abbotsford, Mrs. Dietsche was a member of St. Bernard’s congregation and of St. Bernard’s Catholic Alter Society.

 

Surviving her are her husband, three daughters and six sons: Mrs. William (Frances) Schoch, Miss Florence Dietsche, Mrs. Stanley (Bernice) Kostka, Vincent and Daniel, all of Stevens Point; Sylvester (Joe) of Abbotsford, Edwin of Sheboygan, Felix of Owen and Benjamin of Chippewa Falls.  There are 36 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren.

 

Two brothers and a sister, Clarence and Victor Rocheleau, and Mrs. Harmon (Nellie) Bosworth, all of Algoma, also survive.

 

Preceding her in death were a son, a daughter, four sisters and one brother.
