Kramer, Ruth E. (1 JAN 1929 - 17 JAN 2011)

 

ABBOTSFORD -- Ruth E. Kramer, 82, of Abbotsford passed away Monday, Jan. 17, 2011, at her residence in Abbotsford.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22 at Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford, with the Rev. Jerome Freimuth officiating. Burial will be at Christ Lutheran Cemetery in the town of Holton.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the church. Pallbearers will be Dennis Marmitt, Alan Schmidt, Dennis Budimlija, Brad Budimlija, Chad Schmidt and Larry Decker.

Ruth was born Jan. 1, 1929, in Superior to Albert and Ina (Erickson) Peterson. She was a graduate of Unity High School. Her marriage to Earl Kramer took place May 24, 1947, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Unity.

Ruth worked for 37 years at the Packaging Corp. of America in Colby, a couple of years for the Cedar Crest Motel in Abbotsford and later for the Tribune Phonograph newspaper in Abbotsford for 15 years.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford. Ruth enjoyed reading and tending to her flower garden.

Ruth will be dearly missed by her daughters, Diana (Dennis) Marmitt of Phillips, Kathleen (Alan) Schmidt of Windsor, Judith (Dennis) Budimlija of Rib Lake and Sharon (Jeff Brady) Miller of Saint Petersburg, Fla.; grandchildren, Shane Schmidt, Chad Schmidt, Jennifer Peterson and Brad Budimlija; and great-grandchildren, Bianca Peterson, Brent Peterson and Riley Eisner.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl, on Dec. 10, 1993; one brother, one sister and two sons-in-law.
