Maple Ridge (1 September 1938)

 

The Cozy Corner School opened Monday morning, August 29th, with Miss Alta Parker as teacher and an enrollment of nineteen pupils.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Foemmel, Chili, and Mrs. Silas Foemmel were Tuesday morning callers at the Art Lindow home.

 

Miss Mildred Hefty has been employed at the Ervin Bandt home.

 

S. D. Macomber, Granton, was a caller in this community Thurs.

 

Mr. and Mrs. J. Fluegel and Ardo were Sunday dinner guests at the R. Miller home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. F. Schilling, Granton, were Sunday dinner guests of the A. Foemmel family.

 

(Due to last Monday being a holiday and other matters beyond our control which caused us to get a late start Tuesday on setting our type, we are obliged to omit the remainder of the items sent us by our correspondent.)
