Christman, Rosetta K. (18 OCT 1881 - 28 AUG 1952)

 

Funeral services were held at the Myre Funeral Home Monday for Rosetta Katherine Christman, 70, who died at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Thursday of a heart ailment.

 

The Rev. E. Aalto officiated at the services and burial was in Windfall Cemetery, Granton.

 

Mrs. Christman, nee Rosetta Gotter, was born Oct. 18, 1881, in Calumet Co., Wis.  On May 25, 1919, she was married to Willard Christman, who preceded her in death in 1935.

 

She received her education at Potter, and at the age of 16 moved to Granton, remaining there until 1929, when she moved to the Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) vicinity.

 

The past 15 years she had been a resident of Hartford.

 

She is survived by four sons, Marvin, Milton and Orville, Hartford, and Rupert, Loyal; three sisters, Mrs. Henry (Ella) Schlinsog, and Mrs. William (Selma) Foote, Granton, and Mrs. Carl (Lenore) Schule, Cobb; three brothers, Arno, Granton, and Richard and Ferdinand, Loyal; and nine grandchildren.

 

Two brother preceded her in death.

 

Pallbearers were Celen Gotter, Reuben Gotter, Elroy Gotter, Ewald Schlinsog, Art Schlinsog and Norman Luchterhand.

 

Mrs. Romaine Rossow and Mrs. Emma Rottjer, accompanied by Jeanne Nysted, sang "In the Garden" and "Abide with Me."

 

Friends and relatives from Cobb, Hartford, Rice Lake, Granton, Potter, and Dayton, Ohio, attended the funeral.
