Hederer, Donald J. (December 21, 1926 - December 25, 2010)

 

Donald J. Hederer, age 84, of Colby, formerly of Loretta Draper, Wisconsin, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2010 at the Colonial Home, Colby.


Donald was born December 21, 1926 in Marshfield to Wenzel and Marie Hederer.

 

He proudly served his country in the Army during World War II. Donald worked as a construction laborer throughout the Central Wisconsin area and later worked at Harmony Co-op in the fertilizer division before retiring.


He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and musky fishing. He was a member of the 1359 Wausau Labor Local Construction Union.


Donald is lovingly survived by his children, Dan (Irene) Hederer of Colby, Don (Kim) Hederer of Abbotsford, Diana Neustedt-Arvin of Spencer and Doug (Robin) Hederer of Ladysmith.

 

He is further survived by his grandchildren, Jessie Hederer, Amber Hederer, Adam Zoellick, Ashley Zoellick, Jason and Kristie, six great grandchildren; his sister, Barbara (Henry) Carr and sister-in-law, Audre Hederer.


He is preceded in death by his parents, Wenzel and Marie; his brother, Harold Hederer; and his sister, Ardella Hederer.


A memorial service will be 8 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2010, at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. Father Daniel Hackel will officiate. A visitation will be held Thursday, from 5 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
