Greenwood, Wisconsin Locals (8 December 1960)

A meeting was held last Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Myron Kenyon, chairman of the Easter Seal sale in the Greenwood area, to make plans for the campaign which is sponsored by the Clark County American Legion Auxiliary council.

The Women’s Guild met in Zion United Church Thursday afternoon for a Christmas party.  Mrs. John Speich presided in the absence of the president, Mrs. George Hoehne. Mrs. Orval Egbert led in prayer, read a poem entitled "A Little Bit of Christmas" and gave the "Thought for the month".  Mrs. Arnold Beyer was in charge of the program.  She was assisted by Mrs. Hugh Severson and the Rev. Orval Egbert.  Mrs. Robert Schneider reported the material for the World Day of prayer service had arrived.  This service, in which women from four other churches in Greenwood will participate, will be held this year in Zion Church February 17.

The group decided to again remember their honorary members with Christmas boxes.  It was voted to give $50 to the benevolent fund.  Mrs. Charles Ludwig, missionary chairman, gave a report, and Miss Martha Horn gave the sunshine report.  Following the meeting a potluck lunch was served.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sisinni and daughter, Suzanne, of Milwaukee, arrived Sunday for a visit with her grandmother, Mrs. Christ Keiner, and at the Hugh Severson home.
