Heiman, Henry (11 February 1882 - 28 November 1960)

 

Henry Heiman, 78, Rt. 3, Neillsville, died Monday morning at his farm home following a lingering illness.

 

Funeral services will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  The Rev. Fr. Joseph Eisenmann, pastor will read the requiem Mass.  Burial will be made in the parish cemetery. The body will repose at the Bergemann Funeral Home beginning Wednesday evening, where a combined Holy Name and general rosary service will be said tonight (Thursday) at 9 p.m. 

 

Henry John Heiman, son of the late Theodore and Elizabeth Heiman, was born February 11, 1882, in Germany. When he was a small child his family came to America and located in Iowa, where he received his education.

 

On October 4, 1904, he was married to the former Julia Uhlenhake at Festina, Ia.  They lived there until 1918, when they moved onto a farm in the Town of Levis, south of Neillsville.  They lived there a year, moving then to their present farm in the Town of Weston.

 

Mr. Heiman served as Weston Town chairman and supervisor at various times.  He also was a member of the AAA committee and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society.

 

Mrs. Heiman preceded him in death on September 24th of this year.

 

Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Russell (Fredoline) Tangman, Waukesha; Edward, Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. Mike (Adelaide) Gruber, Warren, Ariz.; Mrs. M. C. (Eleanore) Piper, Duluth, Minn.; Mrs. L. P. (Rita) Strachota, Elm Grove; Mrs. Mel (Virginia) Noll, Milwaukee; and Francis, Neillsville.  Nineteen Grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive, as do two brothers, Louis Heiman of Sheridan, Wyo., and Tony Heiman of Warsaw, Ind.; and a sister, Mrs. Arthur (Ann) Gabbart of East St. Louis, Ill.

A requiem high Mass was read last Friday morning in St. Mary’s Catholic Church for Henry Heiman, 78, who died November 29, at his farm home on Rt. 3 Neillsville.   The Rev. Fr. Joseph Eisenmann officiated, and burial was made in the parish cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were: Carl Kessler, Frank Laken, Henry Langreck, Leonard Schultz, Jerald and Robert Strachota.

 

Out of town relatives and friends attending the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Russell Tangman, Waukesha; Mrs. M. C. Piper, Duluth, Minn.; Mrs. l. P. Strachota and family, Elm Grove; Mr. and Mrs. Mel Noll and family, Milwaukee, Mrs. Alice Uhlenhake, Harpers Ferry, Ia.; Mrs. Norbert Reichs, Lawler, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Treshsetter, Mr. and Mrs. John Schmitt, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wiltgen, and Joe Lichtenberg, all of Ossian, Ia.; Kenneth Patterson, Pewaukee; Neil Patterson, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Disterhaft, Cudahy; Howard Berman, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Hinker, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Laken, Greenwood.
