Kaltinger, Mr. and Mrs. John (55th - October 1960)

 

The 55th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. John Kaltinger, Sr., of Greenwood, was celebrated Saturday at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley (Josephine) Mikottis, in Bensenville, Ill.  The celebration was attended by eight of their nine children and their grandchildren.  Their daughter, Mrs. Joe (Louise) Morgal of Moorhead, Miss, could not be present.

 

The honored couple received a purse of money from their children; and gifts from their grandchildren and friends, and congratulatory messages.

 

Those who attended were: Mr. and Mrs. Michael (Mary) Fleischhaker, Karen and friend, Mr. and Mrs. James Fleming, Mike, Donald, Martin and John, Mrs. Ella Langnor, Beverly and Billy, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Langnor and Catherine Jean, all of Chicago, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Lekey, Debbie, Tommy and Micky of Elm Grove, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Kaltinger and son, Rudy, of Lombard, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Kaltinger, Sandra, Clifford, Jim and John of Elmhurst, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Bert (Lillian) Sohlberg, Steven, Sharyn and Mary Loris of Dundee, Ill.; Dennis Mikottis of Lyle, Ill.; Barbara Mikottis and friend of Cleveland, O.; Mr. and Mrs William Stockwell of Chicago, I ll.; Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Kaltinger of Willard; and Mr. and Mrs. John Kaltinger, Jr., of Greenwood.

 

Both Mr. and Mrs. Kaltinger were born in Yugoslavia; Mrs. Kaltinger on March 19, 1879, and his wife, the former Mary Chadez, on January 21, 1885.  He came to the United States to settle at Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1904, and she came to Salt Lake City in 1905.  They were married there in October of that year.

 

After their marriage they lived at Salt Lake City until 1914, when they came to Wisconsin and settled on a farm near Willard.  They retired in 1953 and moved to Greenwood.  Their farm is now occupied by their youngest son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Kaltinger.
