David Miskanis, 58, Owen, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, at Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. A memorial service was held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Nov. 20, at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home, Owen. Rev. Kenneth A. Dis officiated. Interment took place in Riverside Cemetery, Withee, following the service.

David Miskanis was born on Aug. 6, 1952, in Chicago, Ill., to Robert and Nioma (nee Turrene) Miskanis. N\He graduated from Luther High School in Chicago. He enjoyed animals of all kinds, fishing, talking to anybody willing to lend an ear, and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is lovingly survived by his three children, Robert (Beki) Miskanis, Chippewa Falls, Sarah Miskanis, Marshfield, and Amanda Miskanis, Stratford; his granddaughter, Sophia; and his mother, Nioma Miskanis, Owen.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Miskanis, a sister, Debbie Miskanis, and a brother, Keith Miskanis.
