Humbird, Wisconsin (17 March 1960)

 

Rev. Carl Serr attended a ministers’ meeting in the Methodist Church in Marshfield Tuesday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Peter Saule of Willard called on his mother, Mrs. Vicky Saule, Friday evening.

 

Burt Hanby of Alma Center called on Mr. and Mrs. Will Ringrose Thursday.

 

Neillsville callers Thursday were Mr. and Mrs. Cullen Dignin and Mrs. Laura Dignin.

 

Rev. and Mrs. Carl Serr and family were supper guests Sunday at the Earl Zimmerman home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Buss, from near Loganville, spent Thursday with her mother, Mrs. Hulda Winscher. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Burton Winscher and family of Chippewa Falls came to spend the day with his mother, Mrs. Winscher.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Victor Scheibe drove to Rock Dam Thursday to spend the day with Mrs. Lottie Morrison.

 

Mrs. Nina Stuve, accompanied by Mrs. Mattie Smith and Mrs. Martha Simons, spent Sunday afternoon in Sparta with Mrs. Leone Pettigrew. 

 

Rev. Armin Roemer of Wishek, N. D. was a supper and evening guest of Rev. and Mrs. Carl Serr Friday.

 

John Plautz of Greenwood was here Saturday to call on his brother Frank, in the Johnson Nursing Home.  Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ulesich and Robert, Mrs. Francis Malnar and Mrs. John Popovich of Greenwood were here to see him.

 

Mrs. Andy Johnson and two little daughters were dinner guests Sunday of Mrs. Pearl Johnson.

 

Ervin Kelsh went to Augusta Saturday to spend a few days with his daughter, Mrs. Bob Harden.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Victor Scheibe and Mr. and Mrs. Park Sample were in Black River Falls Tuesday for a checkup.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Dale Dignin drove to Ottumwa, Ia., Saturday to take her sister and daughter home.

 

Mrs. Ronnie Parks and children were weekend guests of her mother, Mrs. Edith Smith.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald DeLong and family of Owen spent Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl DeLong.

 

Lenten services for March 23 will be held in the Methodist Church.  Rev. Carl Serr will speak and William Theiler, Jr. will be liturgist.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Losey, Mrs. Mabel Shirley, Mrs. Henry Laffe and Mrs. Gordon Gearing attended the quarterly conference of the Methodist Church held in Fairchild Sunday afternoon.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Duane Staves and family of St. Paul spent the weekend with the home folks, helping the Donald Staves celebrate a wedding anniversary.  They had dinner Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Losey.

 

Mrs. Laura Dignin went to Price Friday to spend a few days with her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Gil Blum and her family.
