Braatz, Louise (6 May 1880 - October 1959)

Funeral services for Mrs. Carl (Louise) Braatz, 79, of Rt. 2, Granton, will be conducted this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Zion American Lutheran Church in Granton.  The Rev. Marvin Beninga will officiate, and burial will be made in the parish cemetery.

Mrs. Braatz, the former Louise Junchen, was born May 6, 1880, in Germany, the daughter of Christian and Louise (Grottke) Junchen.  When she was three years old her parents came to America, locating in Calumet County and later coming to Clark County.  She was educated in the rural schools of the state.

Following her marriage to the late Carl Braatz at Granton on September 18, 1908, they located on a farm in the Town of Grant, where their son, Clarence, still resides.

Mrs. Braatz is survived by three sons: Clarence Braatz and Norman Braatz, both of R. 2 Granton; and Robert Braatz of Beaver Dam.

She was a member of the Zion American Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid Society.

Funeral arrangements are being made by the Georgas Funeral Home.
