Ehlers, Bertha (02 SEPT 1855 - 27 MAR 1949)

 

Mrs. Bertha S. Ehlers, 93, a resident of the town of Eaton since 1901, died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Mar. 27, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Emil Fabian, on route one, Greenwood, where she had been making here home.

 

Mrs. Ehlers, nee Post, was born on Sept. 2, 1855, in Germany and was married to Gustave Neumann who preceded her in death. Her second marriage was to Frank Ehlers on Jan. 26, 1888, at Oconomowoc. He died in February 1939.

 

Surviving are five children, Mrs. Frank Pieper and Mrs. Clarence (Ella) Fabian of Loyal, Charles Neumann of Oconomowoc, and Alvin Ehlers and Mrs. Emil (Martha) Fabian of Greenwood. There are also 17ngrandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Mar. 30. at Trinity Lutheran, the Rev. J. C. Langholz officiating. Burial was in the Lutheran cemetery.

 

The Tribune extends to the bereaved its sympathy in the loss of a beloved mother and grandmother.
