Helm, Marie J. (22 SEP 1934 - 5 SEP 1951)

 

Funeral services for Marie Jane Helm, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Axel Helm, who died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 1951, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, of bulbar polio, were held Saturday morning, Sept. 8 in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Norbert King officiating.  Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

 

Pallbearers included Duane Stutte, Richard Newhouse, Art Gregory, Joe Voight, James Christenson Jr., and Urvan Auman.

 

Marie Jane Helm was born at Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) Sept. 22, 1934.  She attended St. Anthony’s Parochial School and Loyal High School, where she was prominent in school activities and was a member of the band.

 

Besides her parents, she is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Douglas (Dolores) Adair, Milwaukee; Pfc. Richard Helm, now in Korea; James, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Lowell (Florence) Christisen, Vicksburg, Miss.  Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.

 

People from out of town at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Renz and Mr. and Mrs. Roman Renz, Jefferson; Mr. and Mrs. James Helm and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Adair, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Christisen, Vicksburg, Miss.; and Eugene Harder, Donald Adams, Glen Adams, Kenneth Lantow, and Mrs. Roger Voit, Medford.
