Mohr, Dorothy (Marriage - 18 April 1959)

Miss Dorothy Mohr became the bride of George Waller April 18, in a double ring ceremony performed by the Rev. Norman Lindloff in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Neillsville.

Parents of the young couple are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mohr of Neillsville and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Waller of Merrillan.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore the traditional white bridal gown fashioned of Chantilly lace and nylon tulle over satin. The full skirt was floor length, and the fitted bodice was complete with a pearl and sequin trimmed neckline.  Long, lace sleeves came to a point at the wrists.  Her fingertip veil cascaded from an imported illusion lace cap with sequin trim.  She carried a heart-shaped bouquet of baby red roses and lace.

Serving as maid-of-honor was Miss Beatrice Mohr, a sister.  Bridesmaids were Miss Sally Fried and Mrs. Ruby Ambelang.  The attendants wore dresses designed with full, bouffant skirts of embroidered nylon over net, with fitted bodices, and wore headpieces of imported illusion lace with pearl trim.

The groom was attended by Lyle Abrahamson of Fairchild, as best man.  Groomsmen were Harold and George Mohr, brothers of the bride.  Harry Ambelang and Lloyd Johnson ushered.

"Oh Perfect Love" and "The Lord’s Prayer" were sung by Robert Mitte.

Following a dance and reception at the Legion Hall, the couple left on a short wedding trip, and is now residing in Neillsville.

The bride is a graduate of Neillsville High School and is employed as a waitress. The groom, a graduate of the former Merrillan High School, has employment in the Nelson Muffler Plant.

People from away here for the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Carleton Tall, Mr. and Mrs. August Tall, Eldorado; Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Mohr and children, Milwaukee; Mrs. Arnold Belling, Eldorado; Agnes and Lois Mohr, St. Paul, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Waller, Onalaska, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Ransom, Jim Blazejovsky, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Waller, and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Waller, Merrillan.
