Gilbert, Adilate (19 JULY 1909-07 JULY 1949)

 

Mrs. Julius Gilbert, 39, former Spokeville resident, died on Monday, Feb. 7, at her home in Richfield, Cal., after a long illness.

 

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gustave A. Hellickson of Stoughton, she was the former Adilate Goodron Hellickson, born on July 19, 1909. She attended public schools at Stoughton and graduated from the Norwegian American hospital in Chicago.

 

She married Julius Gilbert and moved to Madison, where they lived for several years, moving to Spokeville, where they lived until last October, when they moved to California.

 

Survivors, besides her husband and parents include: Two sisters, Mrs. John Schoenecker of Brookfield and Mrs. Lawrence Scheel of Mc.Ffarland, and three brothers, Adrian Hellickson of McFarland, Roland Hellickson of Cottage Grove and Clarence Moen of Cambridge.

 

Funeral services were held at Stoughton at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14, at the Cummings funeral home. Her brother-in-law, the Rev. Milford Gilbert of Loyal officiated in the Riverside cemetery.
