Jahnke, Meta (14 August 1881 - 27 March 1959)
Funeral services were held Monday for Mrs. Karl Jahnke, 77, who died Friday in Neillsville. The Rev. L. E. Schreiber officiated at services from Zion Lutheran Church in Granton, and burial was made in the Windfall Cemetery.
Mrs. Jahnke, the former Meta Hoeppner, was born August 14, 1881, in Germany where she received her education. On February 16, 1904, she was married to Karl Jahnke. In 1926, they came to the United States and located in Chicago. In 1931 they moved to the Town of Lynn, where they were engaged in farming until 1944, when they moved to Granton.
She is survived by her husband; (and the rest of the obit is missing on my copy).
