For the eighth consecutive year, the Merwin relatives gathered for a joint celebration of the birthday of Mrs. Emily Merwin, which falls on August 25, for the reunion of relatives. 

This year the group met at Marathon Park, Wausau, with 61 present. All the direct descendants of Mrs. Merwin, except a son, Ernest, of Canada, were present. 

There was a beautiful birthday cake and many gifts for the guest of honor.

Among those from a distance who attended were Mrs. William Ouimette, a daughter, Park Falls; the Misses Evelyn and Emily Hennlich, Milwaukee and Sgt. Arvin Merwin, Las Vegas, grandchildren.
