Kramer, Conrad (15 Sept. 1879 - 14 Oct. 1960)

Funeral services for Conrad Kramer, who died Friday after suffering a stroke, were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Christ Lutheran church with the Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiating.

During the services, Herbert Juneau sang "Asleep in Jesus" and "Abide With Me."

Pall bearers for the internment made in the Abbotsford cemetery were Arlan Graffunder, James Kramer, Elmer Kramer, Robert Kramer, Conrad Kramer and Arlan Castner.

Mr. Kramer was born in Germany Sept. 15, 1879 and came to this country with his parents when he was 14 years old. The family settled on a farm west of Dorchester.

On Jan. 19, 1903, he was married to Emma Wuest at the Dorchester Lutheran parsonage. They made their home in Dorchester for 27 years, operating a livery stable, farming and trucking business, then, for nine years they lived in Marshfield, where he was employed at the ??? Corp. They then moved to Park Falls. He retired in 1949 and the past ? years made their home in Abbotsford.

In 1958, Mr. and Mrs. Kramer celebrated their 55^th wedding anniversary.

The Kramers were making preparations to move back to Park Falls when Mr. Kramer was stricken Oct. 6. He was taken to St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, where death occurred Friday, Oct. 14, at ?:45 p.m. He was 81 years old.

He is survived by his widow, three daughters, Mrs. Archie (Elsie) Graffunder, Park Falls; Mrs. Edward (Evelyn) Sitzberger and Mrs. Claude (Irene) Castner, both of Marshfield; two sons, Alfred, Dorchester, and Vilas, Wisconsin Rapids; four sisters and three brothers. There are also 13 grand children and nine great grand children.

Two children died in infancy.
