Weller, Connie (Marriage - 3 Sept. 1960)

Miss Connie Weller and Larry C. Blunck exchanged marriage vows Saturday afternoon at Christ Lutheran church. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler read the double ring service at 2 o’clock and Mr. Bertram, professor at Valparaiso university, gave the sermon.

Herbert Juneau was organist and soloist and sang "The Lord’s Prayer" and "Wedding Prayer" during the ceremony.

Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Weller of Abbotsford and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Blunck of Withee.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of white silk organza over taffeta with long fitted sleeves. Appliqued flowers outlined the sweetheart neckline and were scattered on the very bouffant skirt. A head piece of silk organza, seed pearls and leaves held her finger tip veil. She carried a heart shaped bouquet of pink roses, lilies of the valley and stephanotis.

Attendants at the wedding were the bride’s four sisters and a sister of the groom, Miss Joan Weller, Wausau, was maid of honor: bridesmaids were Miss Myrna Weller, Mrs. Arthur Klimeck of Milwaukee, Miss Lois Blunck of Withee. Miss Trudee Weller was the flower girl.

The attendants were all dressed alike in ballerina length dresses of silk organza with matching cummerbund. Their headpieces were small wreaths of leaves. They carried baskets of yellow and white chrysanthemums.

A fall shade of brown was chosen for the maid of honor and a light rose for the other attendants.

Ronald Amacher of Owen was best man. Groomsmen were Leon Bruckert of Owen, Gene Hansen of Minneapolis, and Robert Blunck, a brother, of Burlington.

Mrs. Weller was attired in beige with brown accessories and Mrs. Blunck chose a Navy blue ensemble. Both mothers had corsages of yellow and white carnations.

Festivities following the ceremony included a reception at the village hall, supper at the church basement and a wedding dance at Dorchester Memorial hall.

Guests from away were from Milwaukee, Wauwatosa, Wausau, Owen, Withee, Burlington, Minneapolis and Valparaiso.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Blunck left for a wedding trip to Minnesota after which they will make their home in Galesville, where he is employed by a lumbering firm as a lumber grader.

Mrs. Blunck, a graduate of the Abbotsford high school, attended Valparaiso university for two years and has been employed by Northrup King Co. at Minneapolis.
