Scheuerman, Hattie (30 July 1886 - 6 May 1960)

 

Mrs. Carl Scheuermann, 74, died Thursday, May 6, about midnight at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, where she had been admitted a few hours earlier. She had been in ill health for some time.

 

The body which had been lying in state at Polnaszek Funeral home, was taken to Christ Lutheran church at noon Monday and funeral services were held there at 2 o’clock with the Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiating.

 

Pall bearers for the internment made in the Abbotsford cemetery were Frank Ehrenreich, John Fecker, Pat Hoeft, Ray Holtz, David Lindberg and Robert Mueller.

 

The flowers were in charge of the Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

 

Mrs. Scheuermann was born Hattie Ritter in Sheboygan, July 30, 1886, and was educated in Sheboygan and Dorchester schools. On June 30, 1908, she and Carl Scheuermann were united in marriage at Dorchester. They farmed in the vicinity of Dorchester and Curtiss until two years ago when they moved to Abbotsford. Mr. Scheuermann died in August, 1955.

 

Mrs. Scheuermann was a member of Christ Lutheran church, the Auxiliary of the V.F.W., and the Abbotsford Woman’s Club.

 

Mrs. Scheuermann is survived by one son, Arnold, of Milwaukee, and two daughters, Mrs. Herman (Lenore) Waldhart, Spencer; and Mrs. Denzil (Gladys) Van Gorder, Eau Claire. They were all here for the funeral.

 

Also surviving are two brothers and a sister, Harvey Bitter of Abbotsford, Edgar Bitter of Iowa Falls, Ia., and Mrs. Nick (Alice) Selzner, Chippewa Falls. She had 11 grand children and 14 great grand children.

 

Among the relatives from away who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Bitter of Iowa Falls, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. Nick Selzner, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Jacobson, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Shipman and Mrs. Selzner, all of Chippewa Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Mario Custer, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Palmer and Mr. and Mrs. George Webb, Bloomer; Mr. and Mrs. James Beyerl, Jeanne, Joe and Paul, Colby; Mrs. Alfred Bitter, Millersville; Mrs. Carl Zeimke, Sheboygan Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Bitter and Melvin, Plymouth; Mrs. Minnie Parkhill and Ruth, Medford; and Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Kleinke, Marinette.
