Wepfer, William (30 Apr. 1878 - 23 Mar. 1960)

 

William Wepfer, 81, died Wednesday morning at 5:50 a.m. at his home following a fall suffered in front of his house at Colby last Thursday.

 

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at the Hanson Funeral Home at Marshfield.

 

Surviving him are his widow at Colby, and three daughters, Mrs. Harold (Maydell) Brockhaus of Colby, Mrs. Herbert (Altine) Stoltzman of Marshfield and Mrs. Delbert (Alma) Klepzig of Decatur, Ill. There are eight grand children and six great grand children.

 

A son, Harold, and a daughter, Margaret, preceded him in death.

 

Mrs. Harold Wepfer and daughter, Maurine, arrived from Chicago, Wednesday night. Myron Wepfer met his mother and sister at Junction City and brought them to Colby where they are staying with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Zahorka. They came following the death of Mr. Wepfer.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hansen Funeral Chapel, Marshfield, for W. W. Wepfer, who died of age complications Wednesday. Charles Preston conducted the rites and burial was made in the Colby cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were Orville Nall, Arvid Carlson, Dwight Below, Fay Russell, Lawrence Carlson and Laverne Marcott.

 

Relatives and friends attended from Abbotsford, Colby, Medford, Eau Claire, Wausau, Dorchester, Stetsonville, Loyal, Greenwood, Wittenburg, Madison, Marshfield, Chicago, and Decatur, Ill.
