Mrs. J. L. Ferguson and granddaughter Opal Ferguson went to Columbus Friday to visit at Gib Bender’s for a week.  Miss Opal will return home and her grandma will continue on to Ladysmith for a couple weeks visit with relatives there before she returns home.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Goebel went to Milwaukee Friday to spend a short time among old friends and attended the wedding of their daughter, Miss Clara Goebel, and Mr. Henry Lutz, of that city.  The groom is in the employ of the Goodrich Dairy Co. and has the requisite qualifications for making an excellent life’s companion for the bonny bride, one of Granton’s prettiest and best girls, he has won.  May success and good fortune attend them.  Mr. and Mrs. Goebel returned home Tuesday morning.

Mrs. Bloomy Sparks and her father, Stillman Ellis, a man of 88 summers, drove in from Sherwood Friday afternoon and left next morning for Bancroft, where they are since visiting relatives. They anticipate visiting at Oregon, Wis. too, before returning.

E. H. Knickle, of the firm Finnigan, Knickle & Berg, severed his connections with the above named firm last week.  He intends to move to Spencer in the near future, where he has acquired an interest in a garage.

Dell Lovell, of Rice Lake, was a guest of relatives in the Chas. Brooks home Tuesday and Wednesday morning.

Mrs. A. J. Knorr and daughter Shirley went to Milwaukee Friday, Miss Shirley to re-enter a state normal school there, while Mrs. Knorr will spend a few days visiting relatives there, at Chilton and other state points before returning home.
