Fulwiler, Amos P. #2 (27 JUN 1870 - AUG 1950)

 

Word has been received from Iron Mountain, Mich., of the death of Amos P. Fulwiler, 80, a former resident of the town of York (Clark Co., Wis.).

 

Born in Washington Co., Wis., on June 27, 1870, Mr. Fulwiler came to the town of York with his parents when he was 12 years old.  He was married on June 4, 1896, to Jennie Belle Rowe, who died in 1938.  During the years when he resided in the town of York, Mr. Fulwiler was an active member of the York Center Methodist Church, where he was superintendent of the Sunday school for several years.  He also was town treasurer for several years and was clerk of the Modern Woodmen of America for 35 years.  He moved to Iron Mountain in 1924.

 

He is survived by one son, Dale; a daughter, Mrs. Williams Edens of Capron, Ill; a sister, Mrs. George Rowe of Milwaukee, and three brothers, William of Green Bay, Adolph of Milwaukee and Edward of Loyal.

 

Funeral services were held on Aug. 3 from the Methodist church in Iron Mountain.  Burial was made in the Qinnesec Cemetery.  Pallbearers were four grandsons, Melvin Franke and Donald, Douglas and Delbert Edens, and two nephews, Merton Fulwiler and Milford Rowe.

 

Those from away attending the funeral were: Mrs. William Edens and two sons, Delbert and Darrel, of Capron, Ill., Adolph Fulwiler, Mrs. Elizabeth Rowe and Mrs. William Leonard of Milwaukee, Mrs. William Fulwiler and Mr. and Mrs. Merton Fulwiler of Green Bay, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Bandelow of Menomonie, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Voight of Neillsville, Lynn Rowe of Minocqua and Milford Rowe and Mrs. Verla Dahl of Granton.
