Melissa Ann Geiger and Robbie Charles Smazal, Colby, were united in marriage May 8, 2010, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Abbotsford. Deacon Joseph Stefancin, Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford, presided.  

 

The bride is the daughter of Gary and Jaycine Geiger, Dorchester.  The groom is the son of Victor and Carolyn Smazal, Colby. 

 

The bride wore a satin A-line gown with beaded embroidered metallic bodice with a cathedral train. She had a hand-tied bouquet with white and yellow calla lilies, orange, yellow and orange/yellow mixed tulips and white ribbon. 

 

Flower girls were Brynia Geiger, Dorchester, niece of the bride, and Kylie Smazal, Unity, nice of the groom. Miniature bride was Malorie Geiger, Dorchester, niece of the bride. 

 

Miniature groom was Dalton Smazal, Spencer, nephew of the groom. 

 

The matron of honor was Erin Hennes, Colby, sister of the bride.

 

Bridesmaids were Maria Kloth, Medford, friend of the couple, Amy Smazal, Loyal, sister-in-law of the groom, Beth Babich, Colby, friend of the couple, and Tanya Geiger, Dorchester, sister-in-law of the bride. 

 

Best man was Richard Smazal, Loyal, brother of the groom. 

 

Groomsmen were Maynard Stange, Unity, friend of the couple, Shawn Miller, Spencer, friend of the couple, Matt Geiger, Menasha, brother of the bride and Doug Geiger, Dorchester, brother of the bride.

 

Ushers were Dave Hennes, Colby, brother-in-law of the bride, Rod Smazal, Unity, brother of the groom, and Randy Smazal, Spencer, brother of the groom. 

 

Kelly Kloth, Kevin Spindler and Mary Wussow proved music during the ceremony. Photographer was Jim Brandt. 

 

The reception was at the Simek Center, Medford, with about 350 guests attending. 

 

The couple honeymooned in Aruba. They will make their home in Colby. 

 

The bride holds a bachelor of science degree in nursing and is a registered nurse at the Marshfield Clinic radiology department. 

 

The groom is a graduate of Colby High School and is the owner of Smazal’s Hunter’s Choice in Colby.
