Vogt, Rose (12 AUG 1891 - 2 JUN 1950)

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Vogt, 58, were held on Tuesday afternoon, June 6, at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. John C. Langholz officiating.

 

The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. August Young, Mrs. Vogt was born on Aug. 12, 1891.  She was married at Livingston, Mont., to Lou Vogt, who died 25 years ago.  She lived in Montana for 30 years and also was a former Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) resident.  The last nine years were spent in Sumner, Ia., where she passed away on June 2, 1950, after being afflicted with cancer since last August.

 

Mrs. Vogt is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Otto Lemke of Loyal and Mrs. Roy Mengel of Baker, Mont.; one brother, Paul Young of Loyal; two half-sisters, Mrs. Ella Fimm of Sumner, Ia., and Mrs. Albert Krueger of Columbus, and two half-brothers, William Haupt of Valley City, N.D. and Fred Haupt of Granton.

 

Burial was in the pine Grove Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Ed Haslow, Leo Rueth, Floyd Smith, Frank Stange, Max Neitzel and Art Cammers.  Flowers were in charge of Mrs. Robert Young and Mrs. Dale Young.

 

Relatives from out of town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Mengel and Mr. and Mrs. Marion Hart of Baker, Mont.; William Haupt of Valley City, N.D.; Mr. and Mrs. William Harry, Mrs. Math. Orth and Mrs. Rose Tennis of Colby; Mrs. Ella Fimm of Sumner, Ia., and Mr. and Mrs. Emil Hintz and Mr. and Mrs. Reinhold Hintz of Marshfield.
