Rowley, Ilene (22 APR 1950)

 

Miss Ilene Rowley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George S. Rowley of Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Claire Schlinsog, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Schlinsog of Willard, in a 2 o’clock ceremony performed in the Loyal Methodist Church on Saturday afternoon, Apr. 22, 1950.  The Rev. Raymond J. Fleming of Marshfield officiated.

 

For the occasion, the bride was attired in a white satin gown, featuring a fingertip veil.  She carried a bridal bouquet.

 

Miss Marliss Uhrig of Loyal served as the maid of honor.  She wore a yellow satin formal, with bonnet and gauntlets to match.  Her bouquet was made up of carnations and yellow roses.  The bridesmaids, Misses Ella Olsen and Margaret Herdrich, wore yellow dresses, with bonnets and gauntlets to match.

 

Daryl Rowley, a brother of the bride, served as best man.  Other attendants were Harris Dux and Ted Schlinsog.  Ushers at the ceremony were Ronald Schlinsog and Robert Uhrig.

 

Following the ceremony, a dinner was served in the church parlors.

 

Guests who attended the ceremony from out of town included: Mr. and Mrs. V. G. Dietz of Sidney, Neb., Mrs. Carl Olsen and son, Kenneth of Cedar Rapids, Ia., and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Leonhard of Milwaukee.

 

The bride is a 1949 graduate of the Loyal High School, while the groom attended school in Granton.  He is an employee of the Gorman Co-op Cheese Factory at Willard, where the couple will reside.

 

To the newlyweds, the Loyal Tribune extends its heartiest congratulations and best wishes for the future.
