Funeral services for Mrs. Julia Vincent, 83, were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9, the Rev. Virgil Nulton officiating.  Burial was in the Neillsville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Paul and Alvin Jacob, Edward Gault, John Krejci, Arthur Kotchy and Ernest Campbell.  Misses Joyce Vincent and Edith and Ardyth Tisdale were in charge of the floral offerings.

Mrs. H. A. Van Gorden sang "In the Garden" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," with Mrs. Jess Scott as accompanist.

Among those attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Percy Vincent and family and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cook of Loyal.

Mrs. Vincent (nee Turville) died at 4:50 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6, 1950, at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Glynn Tisdale, in Eau Claire, after an illness of several years.

She was born on July 25, 1866, the daughter of the late John and Eliza Turville, and received her education in Waukesha County.  On Nov. 28, 1888, she was married to John Vincent in Waukesha.  They farmed there for several years before coming to Clark County in 1900.

They resided on the farm now occupied by a son, James, in the town of York.  In 1919 they moved to the city of Neillsville, where Mr. Vincent died in 1936.  A few years ago Mrs. Vincent sold her home there and moved to Eau Claire.

She is survived by four children, Percy Vincent of Loyal, Mrs. Glynn (Gertrude) Tisdale of Eau Claire, Mrs. Erwin (Keziah) Nickel of Milwaukee and James Vincent of York.  A brother, one sister, 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren also survive.  Four children preceded her in death.
