York, Diane M. (26 October 1941 - 30 July 2010)

 

Diane M. York, age 68, of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away on July 30, 2010 at her home under the care of hospice.

 

Diane M. Benzschawel was born on October 26, 1941, in Thorp, Wisconsin the daughter of Frank and Margaret (Gengler) Benzschawel.  She was raised and received her education in Thorp, graduating from Thorp High School in 1959.  Diane was united in marriage to Vernon York in San Diego, California in 1963.  She loved golf, polka dancing, running the Honolulu Marathon and tennis.  She was a member of the national tennis championship team age 50 and over in 1992.

 

She is survived by her husband, Vernon of Spring Hill, FL; son, Scott York (Jen) of San Diego, CA;  son, Mark York (Kris) of Phoenix AZ; daughter Lisa York of Texas; four grandchildren: Heather, Kaylee, Sara and Justin; brothers: Bill Benzschawel (Dolores) of Owen, WI; Frank Benzschawel (Nell) of Olympia, WA; Claude Benzschawel (Alice) Thorp, WI; Gene Benzschawel (Bev), Thorp, WI; Al Benzschawel, Albany, WI; and sister, Joan Clarke (Thomas/Se’) of Land O’Lakes, FL, plus many nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by: her parents, and one brother, Dennis.
