Behrens, Cheryl Lyn (18 JUN 1966)

A white linen gown was worn by Miss Cheryl Lyn Behrens when she became the bride Saturday, June 18, 1966, of Steven John Stillmark Jr.  The marriage united the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. Louis Behrens, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), and the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Stillmark of South Milwaukee.

The Rev. Arvid Myhrwold officiated in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church at Greenwood.  Mrs. Myhrwold sang "My Heart Ever Faithful" and the Rev. Mr. Myhrwold sang "Lord’s Prayer."

Miss Behrens came before the altar to be given in marriage by her father.  Her gown was fashioned with an empire waits trimmed with Alencon lace and a chapel length train.  She carried an arrangement of white gladioli.

Floor length empire waisted gowns complemented by bouquets of pink carnations were worn by the bridal aides.  They were Miss Patricia Palecek of West Allis, as as maid of honor, and Mrs. Mary Behrens, Denver, Colo., Miss Diane Wuethrich, Greenwood, and Miss Jeanne Redgren of Menomonie, as bridesmaids.

Serving the groom were Robert Hentgen, South Milwaukee, best man, and Jerome Behrens, Denver; Michael Sakolowski, South Milwaukee; and Roger Marin, Wauwatosa, groomsmen.  Richard and Donald Warner seated wedding guests.

Following the marriage ceremonies a reception was held in the church hall.

The bride is a 1966 graduate of the school of nursing at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where the groom is now a student.  He graduated in 1962 from South Milwaukee High School.  They are making their home in Madison at 1323 W. Dayton St.

Wedding guests came from Milwaukee, Wauwatosa, Seattle, Wash.; Kensington, Md.; Minneapolis, St. Paul and Hopkins, Minn.; Mosinee; Suring, Menomonie, Durand, Neillsville, Marshfield, West Allis, and Cincinnati, Ohio.
