Landry, Wallace (Favored for Clark County, Wisconsin Agent - 11 October 1929)

The Agricultural Committee met again Friday and took up the selection of a County Agent, the first choice of the committee going to Wallace Landry of the Dunn County Agricultural School and the second choice to A. L. Howalt of Waupaca.  The action of the Committee has yet to receive the approval of the Board of Regents of the State University, so is can not be said definitely at this writing that the question is settled.

Mr. Landry is a Clark County man.  He was born and brought up at Thorp, graduated from Thorp high school,  taught schools in that locality.  He entered the University of Wisconsin graduating and receiving his degree in the four year course in Agriculture; later receiving his Masters degree.  He was a high school principal for several years and has since then held a position in the Dunn County Agricultural School.

If for any reason he can not take the place, Mr. Howalt would be the next in line.  He has also had an excellent training, taught in the Wood County Agricultural School and now has a similar position in Waupaca.
