Aschebrock, Henry (22 OCT 1873 - 20 NOV 1957)

 

Henry Aschebrock, 84, a former city of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) resident, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 1957, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Wausau, where he was a patient for two weeks.

 

In recent years he had been making his home with a son in the town of Rib Mountain, Marathon Co.

 

Burial was made in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at Stratford following final services at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon at the Ritter-Deutsch Funeral Home in Wausau.  The Rev. David Buzza, pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Wausau, officiated at the final rites.

 

Mr. Aschebrock was born in Germany Oct. 22, 1873, and was eight years old when he came with his parents to the United States.  They lived in Schofield for eight years and then moved to the town of Cleveland, where he farmed until 1923.  Before moving to the town of Rib Mountain, he lived in Unity, Curtiss and Owen.

 

He was married twice, in Oct. 1899, in Stratford, to Margaret Kroening, who died Sept. 29, 1916; and on May 20, 1920, to Mrs. Anna Reichert, who died in Dec. 1947.

 

He is survived by four daughters and four sons, Mrs. Albert (Irene) Riehle and Mrs. Theodore (Helen) Zoellner, both of Stratford; Mrs. Marie Allison, Puente, Calif.; Mrs. Herbert (Pearl) Koffernuss, Curtiss; Ervin, Chicago; Herman, town of Rib Mountain; Lester, New Orleans, La.; and Paul, Milwaukee.
