Mrs. Henry Johnson was very happily surprised last Wednesday evening, the 29th, by a large party of friends, the occasion being the 47th anniversary of her birthday. She was enticed over to Mrs. Larson’s early in the evening and returned to find the house in possession of her guests who surprised her to the limit of surprisedness. Mrs. Johnson was presented with a rocking chair, syrup pitcher, a breast pin and a bed spread, together with best wishes for many more happy birthdays. A very enjoyable evening was spent by all present. Those present were: Mesdames Masters, Thompson, Wesenberg, Larson Volk, Burch, D. Shanks, J. Shanks, Hendrickson, Buker, Kristiansen, Haglund, and Wollengerg, Margie Thompson, Maggie Masters, Agnes Haglund, and Burch, and Ruth Larson.
