Scheuerman, Maude (30 DEC 1894 - 1 MAR 1957)

 

Mrs. John Scheuerman passed away March 1, 1957 at 5:45 a.m. at the hospital in Stanley where she had been a patient since Sunday.  She suffered a heart attack while attending church services Sunday and was taken tot eh hospital.  She was born on Dec. 30, 1894, in the Town of Longwood (Clark Co., Wis.), the daughter of Ernest and Josephine Poppe.  In October of 1913 she was united in marriage to John Scheuerman.  They lived on the farm in the Town of Longwood until they moved to Withee where they have resided since.

 

She is survived by her husband, John, and two sons, Laurence of Greenwood and Alvin of California, and six grandchildren, also three sisters, Bernice (Mrs. Glover) of Michigan, Celia (Mrs. Boldt) of Chicago, Ill., and Hazel (Mrs. Moen), Calif., and a brother Robert Poppe of Owen.  She was preceded in death by one brother Dan and three sisters, Laura, Grace and Agnes.

 

Services were held Thursday, March 14 at two o’clock at the Congregational Church at Owen with Rev. Ralph Claybaugh officiating.  Solo was sung by Mrs. Don Marshall and the organ music was furnished by Mrs. Lawrence Christopherson.

 

Pallbearers were Henry Horn, Otto Calbaum, Otto Sacks, George Funk, Vaino Talso and Toivo Talso.  In charge of the flowers were Nelda Lange, Bonnie Miller, Versel Poppe, Janet Poppe and Alice Scheuerman.
