Kobylarczyk, Louise (22 NOV 1956)

A very pretty wedding took place at St. Hedwig’s Chapel in Thorp on Thanksgiving Day, when Miss Louise Kobylarczyk, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kobylarczyk, became the bride of Harold Sorenson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Sorenson, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.).  Father Francis Piekarski officiated at the double ring ceremony at 10 o’clock.

The bride was given in marriage by her father and was attired in a floor length gown of Chantilly type lace over satin.  The molded bodice had a Sabrina neckline trimmed with iridescent sequins.  The long lace sleeves extended over the wrists in points.  The very full skirt of lace fell halfway in points into sheer tulle which had scattered appliquéd roses with iridescent sequins scattered throughout.  Her French silk illusion veil cascaded from a beautiful hat with layers of pleated tulle and lace trimmed with seed pearls with iridescent sequins.  She carried a bouquet of deep pink roses and white mums.

The couple was attended by Joan Chaplinski niece of the bride, and Ray Kobylarczyk, brother of the bride, as best man.

Miss Chaplinski wore a floor length dress of blue crystalette.  The bodice had a boat neckline with cap sleeves extending into a very full skirt.  The zipper closing in back with a V-neckline had a bow extending down in a straight line with a lower bow.  She wore short white gloves.  Her headdress of matching blue crystalette was made into a tiara of pulp and trimmed with seed pearls.  She carried a bouquet of yellow and white pompoms.

The mothers wore blue dresses with orchid corsages.

The wedding reception was held at the American Legion Hall, Thorp.  Following the ceremony, and at 5:30 a dinner was served to the many relatives.  A dance was held in the evening and a number of friends and relatives attended.

For going away the bride wore a powder blue wool dress with white angora trim with black and white accessories.  After they return from a honeymoon trip Mr. and Mrs. Sorenson will reside near Owen.
