Klabon, June (31 AUG 1955)

Dinner was served to immediate relatives and friends of the new Mr. and Mrs. Frederick LaVern Boening at the Woodland Hotel, Owen, following their wedding Wednesday morning, Aug. 31, 1955.  The Rev. H. L Crubel officiated at the nuptial of the former Miss June Elaine Klabon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Klabon, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), and the son of Mrs. Ralph Wiedeman, Owen.  The 11 o’clock ceremony was performed in the rectory of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen.

The bride repeated her nuptial vows in white nylon net, waltz length gown fashioned with two skirts of illusion net over taffeta.  Over the strapless bodice was worn a matching lace bolero jacket, and her ensemble was completed with matching net gauntlets and a tiny shoulder length veil.  A white orchid accented her bridal attire.

Attending the young couple as the honor attendants were Miss Joyce Umnus, Edgar, friend of the bride, and Melvin Koplitz, Withee, a friend of the groom.  The former chose a waltz length gown of dusty rose taffeta, with a purple orchid completing her attire.

In the afternoon the newlyweds greeted friends and relatives at a reception at the home of the bride’s parents.

After a northern Wisconsin honeymoon, the young Mr. and Mrs. Boening will take up residence at River Falls where they will both be attending college.

Out of town guests at the wedding were from Chicago, Ill., Wausau, Menomonie, Stratford, Stevens Point, Gilman and Appleton.
