Sonheim, Elizabeth (24 November 1880 - 9 October 1958) 
 

Mrs. John (Elizabeth) Sonheim, 77, Neillsville, Rt. 2, died October 9, in Skokie, Ill., at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jean Bishop, where she had been visiting the last two weeks. 
 

Funeral services were conducted Monday from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville.  The Rev. Alfred Schewe officiated, and burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. 
 

The former Elizabeth Hollinger was born November 24, 1880, in Austria, where she received her education. She came to the United States at the age of 16, locating in Chicago. 
 

On January 29, 1899, she was married to John J. Sonheim in Chicago.  Following their marriage they came to Clark County, settling on a farm in the Town of Levis.  She remained on the farm after the death of Mr. Sonheim, in 1948, until the last summer, when she went to make her home with her daughters, Mrs. Caroline Bohac of R. 1 Merrillan and with Mrs. Bishop in Skokie.  She had been in poor health for the last two years.  
 

She is survived by seven children: John H. Sonheim, on the home farm in Levis; Frank Sonheim, Denver, Colo.; Henry Sonheim, Bogota, N. J.; Mrs. Jean (Catherine) Bishop, Skokie, Ill.; Mrs. B. H. (Caroline) Bohac, Merrillan; Daniel Sonheim, San Diego, Cal.; Mrs. Evelyn Ludwick, Evanston, Ill.  Other survivors include 27 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. 
 

The Georgas Funeral Home made the funeral arrangements. 
 

Pallbearers were: Andrew Kurasz, Leon Schultz, Ernest Ulrich, Joe Mazola, William Genteman, Jr.,  and John Kaplin.  Flowers ladies were Mrs. Leon Schultz and Mrs. Ernest Ulrich. 
 

People from away attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sonheim and three children, Englewood, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Jean Bishop, Skokie, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sonheim, Bogota, N. J.; Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Bohac and family, Merrillan; Daniel Sonheim, San Diego, Cal.; Mrs. Evelyn Ludwick and three children, Evanston, Ill.; and Mrs. Virgil Bohac, Merrillan.
