Stigen, Mr. and Mrs. Nordahl T. (40th - 17 August 1958) 
 

A wedding anniversary celebration took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Nordahl T. Stigen on Rt. 1, Greenwood Saturday in honor of their 40th Anniversary.  An open house was held in the afternoon, followed by a buffet supper.  Their wedding cake was three-tiered, decorated in red and white, and topped with a miniature wedding bell.  In the evening a dance was held at the American Legion Hall in Neillsville. 
 

Mr. and Mrs. Stigen were married August 17, 1918, in Winona, Minn.  She was the former Ella Pederson of Westby.  They have made their home in Clark County for the past 20 years. 
 

Present for the celebration were; all eight of the couple’s children and 15 of their 18 grandchildren.  It was the first time in 17 years that they hve all been together.  Their children are: Archie Stigen, Winamac, Ind.; Wesley Stigen, Chicago, Ill.; Argil Stigen, Rockford, Ill.; Mrs. Howard (Joyce) Schultz, Greenwood; Mrs. Robert (Gwenevere) Gress, Neillsville; Robert Stigen, Neillsville; Mrs. Gary (Shirley) Northup, Marshfield; Mrs. Irving (Patricia) Metcalf Janesville. Also present was Mrs. Stigen’s sister, Mrs. Martha Tomten of Mindoro. 
 

Other guests were from Neillsville, Abbotsford, Curtiss, Greenwood, Mindoro, Westby, Arpin, and Eau Claire.
