Caton, James (? - 16 April 1958) 
 

James Caton, Sr., 60, of Eau Claire, husband of the former Cecelia Marx of Neillsville, died last Wednesday night after a two day illness.  He suffered a heart attack while at his work. 
 

Funeral services were held Saturday morning from St. Patrick’s church, of which he was a member, and burial was made in the parish cemetery. 
 

Mr. Caton was born and raised in Eau Claire and had often visited in Neillsville.  He was a brother-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Haas and of Jack Marx of Neillsville. 
 

Surviving are his wife, three sons, James, Jr., Robert and Donald, all of Eau Claire; a daughter, Mrs. John (Janet) Stratton of Oakland, Cal.; 11 grandchildren; a brother and a sister. 
 

Those from Neillsville who attended the services were: Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Haas, Mack Marx, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Meyer. Mr. and Mrs. James Haas of Barron also attended.
