Haas, Allie (12 December 1899 - 13 March 1958) 
 

Allie Haas, brother of several Neillsville residents, who died in Jefferson recently at the age of 58, leaves five daughters, six sons, 27 grandchildren and eight brothers and sisters. 
 

A former resident of Neillsville, Mr. Haas was born December 12, 1899, in Kaukauna.  He married Mary Kemmeter of Jefferson October 29, 1919. 
 

For the last 20 years he had operated a tavern in Jefferson, and for the last 17 years also operated a bulk oil business. 
 

Death came March 13 in a Fort Atkinson Hospital, following a heart attack suffered three days earlier. Funeral services were held March 15 from St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson, with the Rev. Edward Erbe officiating.  The Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society conducted a combined Rosary March 14. Burial was made in the St. John’s cemetery.  
 

Surviving are his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Norbert Werner, Mrs. LaVerne Jung, Mrs. Norbert Wedl and Carol of Jefferson, and Mrs. Harvey Carnes of Fort Atkinson; six sons, Kenneth, Gerald and Paul of Jefferson, Donald of Cudahy, Russell of Lake Mills, and Allie, Jr. of Watertown; 27 grandchildren; four brothers, Jake, Bernard and Joseph of Neillsville, and Martin of Tucson, Ariz.; and four sisters, Sister M. Laurine of Breda, Ia., Mrs. J. C. wheeler of St. Paul, Mrs. Ernest Bieneck of Neillsville, and Nell Haas of Milwaukee. 
 

A son and daughter preceded him in death.
