Pawlowski, Stanley W. (20 April 1920 - 3 February 2010)

Stanley W. Pawlowski, age 89, of Withee, formerly of Lublin, died on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at Oakbrook Health & Rehab in Thorp.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 8, 2010, at St. Mary’s Polish National Catholic Church in Lublin.  Fr. Marion Talaga officiated and burial followed in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.  Visitation was held at the church on Monday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.

Stanley W. Pawlowski was born on April 20, 1920, in Chicago, IL, the son of John and Anna (Franczek) Pawlowski.  His parents moved to Lublin in 1921 where they armed and raised their family.  After completing his education, Stanley remained on the family farm and took over its operation in 1957.  IN 1974, he sold the farm and moved into Withee.  Stanley also worked for 15 years as a security guard at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen, until retiring in 1985.  He resided in Withee until entering Oakbrook Health & Rehab in April 2007.  After entering Oakbrook, Stanley commented that he now has it "made in the shade."

He was a member of St. Mary’s Polish National Catholic Church and loved to go fishing.

Stanley is survived by nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Steve and Joe Pawlowski; and two half-brothers: Walter and John Marek.

My name is Kim and I'm also researching the Pawlowski/Hoppe lines. I may have information before 1900 in Watertown, WI. I believe your Minnie is my Rosina (Hoppe) Grieger's sister and neighbor in Reitbrock/Halsey, WI. If you're interested in learning more, please contact me.
