Carter, Patricia Ann (Marriage - 10 August 1957) 
 

Miss Patricia Ann Carter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Carter of Granton, and Robert Duane Holt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Merton Holt, also of Granton, exchanged nuptial vows Saturday at the Zion American Lutheran Church of Granton.  The Rev. Marvin Beninga performed the double ring ceremony before an altar banked with baskets of gladioli. 
 

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor-length dress of Chantilly lace and net over satin. 
 

Velda Sternitzky was maid of honor. Carol Holt and Joyce Holt, sisters of the groom, and Mrs. Harold Holt, sister-in-law, were bridesmaids. 
 

Harold Holt attended his brother as bestman. Wallace Garbisch, Donald Krause and Richard Carter, were groomsmen.  Roger Lee and Erland Marg were ushers. 
 

Wedding music was furnished by Ronald Gluch, Jr., and Miss Audrey Henninger of Minneapolis sang, "Whither Thou Goest" and "Wedding Prayer". 
 

A reception for 175 was held in the church dining hall. 
 

The newlyweds will be at home in Platteville after September 9, on their return from a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin. 
 

The bride is a graduate of Granton High School and has been employed in Marshfield.  The groom, also a graduate of Granton High, is a student at Platteville State College. 
 

Guests were from Illinois, Kentucky, Watertown, Minneapolis, Sheboygan, Sussex, Wausau, Marshfield, Greenwood, Neillsville, Chili and Granton.
