Bryner, Dorothy Mae (6 January 1921 - 17 January 2010) 
 

Dorothy M. Bryner, 89, of Silver Lake and formerly of Humbird died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, at the United Hospital Systems - St. Catherine’s Campus in Pleasant Prairie. 
 

The former Dorothy Mae Nibbe was born Jan. 6, 1921, in New Rockford, ND, the daughter of the late Harry and Bessie (Schroeder) Nibbe. She was united in marriage May 28, 1941, to Alvin J. Bryner in Fall Creek.  He preceded her in death April 18, 1998. They lived in Humbird before moving to Silver Lake in 1963.  She was a 1938 graduate of Humbird High School.  
 

She was employed as a repair technician for Hevi Duty Electric in Lake Geneva. 
 

Dorothy attended Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wilmot. 
 

She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and watching the Milwaukee Brewers. 
 

Dorothy is survived by one son, Alan of Silver Lake; two daughters, Donna (Cliff) Hanson of Janesville and Diane (Charles) Hayden of Pittsville; five grandchildren, John Hayden, Kevin Hayden, Corey Hayden, Rod Hanson and Hilliary Hanson; six great-grandchildren, Casey Hayden, Lyndsi Hayden, Cole Hayden, Erik Hayden, Zachery Hayden and Taylor Hayden; two brothers, Lendol (Velma) Nibbe of Madison and Marvin (Francelle) Nibbe of Red Wing, MN; three sisters, Marjorie Hart, and Genevieve Gust of Northfield, MN, and Delores Oligney of Black River Falls; besides other relatives and friends. 
 

She was preceded in death by an infant grandson and by brothers Alfred, Norman, Daryl and Kenneth.

 

A memorial service and inurnment will be held in the spring in Mentor Cemetery, Humbird.

The family would like to thank St. Catherine’s Hospital, Hospitality Manor, Monroe Clinic and St. Clair Hospital in Monroe for a 1994 Miracle.  Dorothy beat pancreatic cancer but couldn’t beat Father Time.
