Selves, Musa (18 July 1874 - 31 May 1956) 
 

Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon for Mrs. Richard (Musa) Selves, 81, who died Thursday at Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient since Saturday.  Services were held from the Georgas Funeral Home with the Rev. Albert Guthmiller officiating.  Burial took place in the Town of Grant cemetery. 
 

Mrs. Selves was born July 18, 1874, in the Town of Grant to William and Mary Jane (Slocomb) West.  She received her education in the schools of the Town of Grant and was a graduate of the Neillsville High School. She received teachers training in Minneapolis and taught for nine years in schools of Clark County. 
 

Following her marriage to Richard Selves on October 15, 1902, they farmed in Grant Township for 46 years.  In 1948 they moved to Neillsville, where they resided at 400 Forest Street.  The past winter she had made her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Sternitzky of Granton.  She was a lifelong resident of Clark County.  She had been in poor health for several years. 
 

Her husband, a son, Forrest, a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Velda) Pretsch, a sister, Mrs. Albert Schultz, and a brother, William West, preceded her in death. 
 

She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Norman (Gladys) Douyette, Minocqua; Mrs. Earl (Orvilla) Zille, Neillsville; Mrs. Erwin (Edna) Sternitzky, Granton; Mrs. Armin (Ruth) Moh, Granton; Mrs. Charles (Ruby) Richardson, Racine; Mrs. William (Elsie) Hintz, Marshfield; and Lee Selves, Granton; also 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. 
 

Pallbearers were: Donald Hughes, Theamore Vine, Alfred Magnuson, Irving Vine, William Vine and Arthur Hubing.  Miss Sarah Albrecht sang two selections, accompanied by Jane Dundas. 
 

Relatives from out of town attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Richardson and family, Racine; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Douyette and family, Mrs. Fred Richardson, Mrs. Charles Cator, all of Minocqua; Mr. and Mrs. William Hintz, Mrs. Earl Berg, Mrs. Harold Weigkelt, Mrs. Otto Seehafer, Mrs. A. L. Swanson, Mrs. F. G. Ness, Mrs. R. W. Baerwald, Mrs. Henry Wundrow, Mrs. Arthur Leibelt, Mrs. Fred Kuse, Mrs. W. L.
