Norman, Annette (Marriage - 28 April 1956)

Miss Annette Norman of Neillsville became the bride of John Hagie during a 2 p.m. ceremony at the Congregational parsonage Saturday.  The Rev. Frank Harcey performed the single ring ceremony which only immediate members of the families attended.  A reception for approximately 115 guests was held at the American Legion Hall at 3 p.m.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an all white nylon lace and net ballerina length gown over taffeta.  The bodice was trimmed in tiny nylon net ruffling over lace.  A nylon lace bolero and matching mitts enhanced the gown.  The full bouffant lace over-skit with scalloped bottom fastened with tiny rose buds revealed a nylon flounced underskirt.  Her short veil was fastened to a net cap trimmed in seed pearls.  Imported nylon lace trim, edged the veil.

Mrs. Roger Metcalf of Marshfield, who served the bride as matron of honor, wore a deep orchid colored dress identical to that of the bride.

The groom was attended by Roger Metcalf of Marshfield as best man.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Norman of 411 Forest Street, Neillsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hagie of 402 E. 4th Street, also of Neillsville.

Mary Lou Hagie, sister of the groom, accompanied by Eileen Zank, sang "Because" and "The Lord’s Prayer."

Following a dance in the evening at the Silver Dome the young couple left on a wedding trip of undisclosed destination.

The bride is a graduate of a Milwaukee High School and has been employed at the Memorial Hospital.

The groom was graduated from the Neillsville High School and is employed by the Rollo-Home Corp. of Marshfield, where they will reside upon their return from their wedding trip.

Out of town relatives attending the wedding were: John Cardarelle, Minneapolis; Gordon Hagie, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Anthony, Mrs. John Anthony, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Duschak, Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Wagner and son, Kenny, all of Madison; Ardis Cardarelle, Oconomowoc; Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Denkmann, Junction City; Mrs. Bauer and Mr. Baker, Milwaukee; and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Krause, Black River Falls.
