Bartlett, Grace  (19 AUG 1929-19 DEC 2009)

 

Grace Bartlett, 80, a Colorado Springs, Colo. Resident since 1950, died on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, in Colorado Springs. A funeral service was held at 10: 30 a.m., on Wednesday, Dec. 23, at the Shrine of Remembrance :" America the Beautiful" Chapel. Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery.

 

Grace Williams was born on Aug. 19, 1929, in Thorp. She was the 10th child of Rollin and Bessie Williams. Her parents were dairy farmers. She graduated from Adams-Friendship High School in 1948. After graduation, she moved to Highland Park, Ill., and later to Winnetka, Ill. In 1950, she and her sister, Della, came to visit their brother, Walter, in Colorado Springs, and fell in love with the mountains. Within the year, her sister, Hester, and she moved to Colorado Springs. She then worked at Shepards Citations. She met Dalton Bartlett and they were married on March 9, 1954, in Co;orado Springs. She and her husband owned Bartlett Business Systems. He survives. She made her choice to serve the Lord when she was 12 years old at a nondenominational church convention and manifested the grace of God   all of her life.

 

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Dalton; her children, Connie (Jack) Naef, Franktown, Colo.; Dan (Brenda) Bartlett, Colorado Springs, ans LaRon (Renee) Bartlett, Peyton, Colo.; 10 grandchildren, Ryan (Sharalyn) Naef; Kendall Naef; Derek, Logan, and Jake Bartlett, and Chandra Branson. Chandler, Blake, and Chyana Bartlett; and three sisters, Della Williams, Great Falls, Mont., Nettie (Don) Berthold, Greenwood, and Hester Williams, Greenwood.

 

Preceding her in death were her parents; four brothers and three sisters.

 

Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, Colorado Springs, assisted the family with arrangements.
