Gotter, Elvina  (80 MAY 1891-17 NOV 1946)

 

Funeral Services for Mrs. R. F. Gotter, who died on Nov. 17 at Wisconsin General hospital in Madison, were held last Wednesday, at 1:30 p.m. at the Loyal funeral

Home and at 2 p.m. in the Trinity Lutheran church. The Rev. J. C. Langholz officiated. Mrs. Gotter had been ill for about three months.

 

Elvina Rose Gotter, daughter of the late Peter and Christina Jensen, was born on May 8, 1891, and lived most of her life in Clark county and the surrounding area. She was married to R. F. Gotter on July 2, 1906 in the town of Lynn. The Gotter family first came to Loyal in 1920.

 

She is survived by her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Norman (Lorene) Luchterhand, Mrs. Robert (Arleene) Christman and Miss Elaine Gotter, five sons Celen, Harvey, Reuben, Elroy and Ronald, and 11 grandchildren, allof these survivors live in Loyal.

 

The hymns for the funeral were sung by Mrs. Martha Dux and Mrs. Laura Dux with Miss Ellen Henseler as accompanist. They were "Asleep in Jesus," "The Old Rugged Cross," and " Let Me Go."

 

Pallbearers were Adolph Voight, R. M. Miles, Otto Rossow, Jake Henseler Sr., William Deuermeyer, and Emil Marten. Those in charge of the flowers were Mrs. Otto Rossow, Mrs. Adolph Voight, Mrs. Emil Marten, Mrs. Bert Pope, Mrs. R. M. Miles, Mrs. Jake Henseler Sr. and Mrs. Walter Krahn.

 

Among the relatives from out of town who attended the funeral services were: Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schuelke of Cobb, Mr, and Mrs. Lee Garbisch and baby, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schlinsog and son Arthur, Mr. and Mrs. William Foote, A. F. Gotter, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Garbisch, Mr. and Mrs. Barthg, Mrs. Mary Kleinschmitt, Mr. and Mrs. Art Kleinschmitt, Mrs. Herman Jensen, Mr and Mrs. Henry Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Sternitzky, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Sternitzky, Mrs. Charles Riesner, and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Riedel, all of Granton; Mrs. Erwin Braatz and Miss Viola Gotter of Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs Ed Sterns of Weyerhauser; Mr. and Mrs. John Beedenbender of Appleton; Mrs. Ed Dress and Mrs. Fred Pagel of Brillion; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Aplin, Mrs. Frieda Schwalenberg, Mr. and Mrs. William Lerche, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Warnke and Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Bittner, all of Hartford, and Mr. and Mrs. John Zahorke of Colby.

 

The following friends from away also attended: Mrs. Alma Breseman, Mrs. Laura Keuer and Mrs. Clarence Chubb of Granton, Mrs. Nora Witt of Abbotsford, Mrs. Herman Montag of Chili, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Marten of Spencer, Fred Adler Jr., of Stevens Point, Robert Reitz, Ludwig Johnson and Mrs. Helma Salzwedel of Marshfield, Mrs. James France and Fred May of Phillips, and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Verhuist of Greenwood.

 

The Tribune extends to the bereaved its sympathy in the loss of a beloved relative.
