Huntley, Grover C. (26 October 1888 - 26 November 1954) 
 

Grover C. Huntley, 66, of 408 Clay Street, Neillsville, died Friday, November 26, 1954, at the Memorial Hospital, where he had been taken a short time before. 
 

Funeral services were held Monday, November 29, from the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church, with the Rev. William Koehler in charge.  Interment was in the Neillsville City Cemetery.   
 

The body reposed at the Georgas Funeral Home from Saturday noon until Monday noon, when it was taken to the church. 
 

Mr. Huntley was born October 26, 1888, in the Town of Weston to William and Mary (Newcomb) Huntley.  His early education was received in the schools of Weston and he attended Neillsville High School.  Following his graduation he worked at the printing trade for many years.  He and his brother, John operated a general merchandise store in Neillsville for several years.  He later purchased his brother’s interest in the store and went into the shoe business for himself.  During World War II he was employed at the Badger Ordnance Works.  On November 2 he was serving on the election board when he became ill and had been in failing health since then.   
 

Mr. Huntley was married in 1913 to Ella Schultz, who survives him.  Besides his wife he is also survived by one daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Marian) Arndt, one grandson, Gene Zaske, and two sisters, Miss Ellen Huntley and Mrs. Elva Richardson, both of Los Angeles, Cal. 
 

He was a lifetime resident of Clark County.   
 

Pallbearers were: Floyd Short, Ernest Snyder, Joe Zimmerman, Alfred Kleckner, Herman Dahnert and Alfred Hovey.  Flowers were in charge of Mrs. John Kleckner, Mrs. Alfred Hovey and Mrs. Floyd Short. 
 

The following relatives from out of town attended the services: Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Arndt, Thorp; Gene Zaske, Madison; Mrs. Arne Bakken, and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Archie Amo, all of Black River Falls.
