Cornell, Michael (October 29, 1948 - November 3, 2009)

 

Michael Cornell, 61, of Abbotsford, formerly of Medford, died Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. 

 

He was born October 29, 1948, in Roswell, NM, the son of Richard and Viola (Niemetz) Cornell. 

 

Because his father was in the military and had to travel, he received his education in various places.

 

He married the former Mary Mueller on July 17, 1999, in Perkinstown near Medford. 

 

He had worked or various companies engaged in TV tower repair and currently was working as a machinist for Weather Shield of Medford. 

 

He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting deer both during the gun and bow season. 

 

He is survived by his wife, Mary of Abbotsford; his children, Lynn (Phillip) Brannan of GA, Mark Vanderheiden of Pensacola, FL, Chris (Lori) Mueller of Chili, Angela Hansen of Owen, Elizabeth Hartl of Abbotsford, Ryen Anke of Green Bay and Britney (Shawn) Anderson of Dorchester.

 

He is further survived by his parents, Richard and Viola Cornell of Orlando, FL and 16 grandchildren. 

 

He was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce; and his grandparents, Hazel and Hank Miller. 

 

Services were held November 14, at the Maurina - Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. Private committal services will take place at a later time.
