Virkler, Leslie A. (1897? - 7 OCT 1954)

Mr. Leslie A. Virkler, vice-president of Blue Moon Foods, Inc., Thorp (Clark Co.), Wis. since 1945, died at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, Wis., on Thursday, Oct. 7th, 1954, after confinement there since Sept. 3rd.  He will be interred at his birthplace, Carthage, N.Y., on Tuesday, Oct. 12th.

 

Mr. Virkler served in the U.S.A. overseas in 1918 - 1919, and World War II was Major at U.S. Army Quartermaster Corps at Chicago, in charge of all cheese purchases for the Armed Forces 1942 - 1945, prior to which time he was an independent cheese dealer in New York State.

 

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lucienne Virkler, his mother, Mrs. Harriet V. Virkler, and sister, Mrs. James Thompson at Carthage, N.Y., and sister, Mrs. A. W. Legate of St. Petersburg, Florida.
