Shea, Kay Ann (Marriage - 20 June 1953)

Miss Kay Ann Shea, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Shea, Eau Claire, became the bride of LeRoy Gene Plunkett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Plunkett of Greenwood, at a service Saturday morning June 20, in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Eau Claire. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. John Rossiter.  Mark and Jack Shea were mass servers.

The attendants were Mavis Jacobs, Eau Claire, maid of honor, and Joanne Shea, Eau Claire, sister of the bride, Harry Plunkett, Greenwood, brother of the groom, as best man, and Edward Moffett, Tuckahoe, N. Y. as groomsman.  Ushers were Donald Shea and Joseph Plunkett of Eau Claire.

The bride is employed in Minneapolis as a teletype operator and the groom, who is in military service, plans to leave on July 20 for Okinawa.  Staff Sgt. Plunkett is now stationed at Truax Field, Madison.

The couple left on a wedding trip to southern Wisconsin and Illinois.
